Before I came to South Africa I was a bit worried how everything was going to be and how I would get along with the different social issues. When I arrived in August, I was quite overwhelmed by all the new images and by the beauty of Cape Town. Working at St. Anne’s was really exciting because I learned a lot from the women and about Gender based violence. Being a part of the WSM and in general being politically involved is indeed important and it is great to see how from time to time things get improved and that people stand up for their rights united. The women always treated me with respect and I also learned a lot about myself and how my actions might affect other people especially concerning the huge cultural differences. Sadly I need to leave now, but I am very thankful that I was able to have such a nice experiences in South Africa with all these amazing people.
I truly loved it, and thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the opportunity.
In Peace,
